The collaborative endeavor of teaching intermediate writing with the focus of fairy tales and introduction of information literacy has inspired the creation of an Open Educational Resource (OER). While the OER project is still in its infancy, this session will discuss how the individual courses benefit from being taught as co-requisites - encouraging students to transfer skills across disciplines - and how librarians can use collaborative ventures to bridge to other projects like OER.
Objective 1 The audience will be able to apply techniques for enhancing teaching and learning across disciplines that seamlessly include information literacy.
Objective 2 The audience will be able to view the OER creation process in action.
Objective 3 The audience will develop ideas on working collaboratively with faculty outside the library.
