Beyond Books: Cataloging Special Format Items

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
In this session, participants will learn how to create metadata for several “unusual” item formats: manuscripts, archival collections, artists’ books, zines, and posters. The basic principles of special collections cataloging and relevant cataloging standards like RDA and DACS will also be taught. Participants will then apply these standards to examples provided by the instructors. Attendees may also submit problematic items prior to the conference for instructors to discuss.
