2019 Utah Library Association Conference

Everyone is talking about mentoring. Maybe you want a mentor. Maybe you want to be a mentor. Maybe you want to be both a mentor and a mentee. And maybe you are not sure how to start. Wherever you are in a mentor/mentee relationship and whichever part you want to take there are skills you can bring to the table to help ensure success. 

Libraries are amazing resources for their communities, but are library employees experiencing burnout? Over the past three years, we investigated burnout levels of the Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library employees. We created two interventions, the wellness game and Club Eccles, to build collegiality and personal resilience. This presentation will provide an overview of the burnout research field, our project, interventions, and next steps.
